Connection

Where Connection Transforms Learning

In a world that often feels disconnected from the values you hold dear, you've chosen a different path — one that embraces positivity, deep connection, and the freedom to explore beyond the ordinary. You believe that true education doesn't come from a textbook, but from meaningful experiences, diverse cultures, and real-world perspectives.

Here, you and your family will find a community that understands the desire to raise a more "worldly", well-rounded child — one who thrives in a nurturing environment that fosters curiosity, empathy, and a global mindset. Step outside the norm, and join us in creating lifelong memories and growth through adventure, culture, and connection.

When we first began our journey, it was a large gathering of families (100+) in Bali that created a deep sense of belonging. That experience opened our eyes, connection to others who were also walking this path of worldschooling was going to be an important part of our journey...

As we continued our journey, we realized how essential connection was/is for our own growth and for our children's. At Antigua World School Camp, we've embraced the belief that connection is everything. Not just the simple conversations that happen but rather allowing the time to find out how alike we all are.

Being able to embrace and hold dear the connections made by simply sharing a meal together can be one of the most meaningful and grounding experiences.

It's in these moments—where stories are exchanged, laughter is shared, and understanding grows—that true bonds form, creating a sense of belonging and community. These simple yet profound experiences are at the heart of what we cherish in our worldschooling journey.

This isn't a place filled with distractions or endless schedules of activities designed to keep kids occupied. Instead, we offer something rare in today's world—space. Space to make decisions, space to grow, and most importantly, space to connect.

Here, your family will experience less — less noise, less clutter, less pressure to always do the next thing—and more of what truly matters: more time in nature, more pretend play, more tree climbing, and more moments to simply be together.

We know that the worldschooling journey can sometimes feel lonely, and that's why we've created a community that supports you, where you and your children can build real, meaningful connections with others on the same path.

At Antigua World School Camp, families don't just visit — they become part of something bigger, where each moment is an opportunity to learn, grow, and connect.

Community

A community that grows together

At the heart of our worldschool camp is a community that thrives on genuine connection. Here, you'll not only form deep bonds with fellow worldschoolers who share your values and vision, but you'll also become part of the vibrant local culture that surrounds us. We believe the journey is more than just seeing the world — it's about forging lasting relationships with those you meet along the way.

Whether it's gathering around a shared meal with other families, trading stories about your adventures, or learning a traditional craft from local artisans, our community is built on mutual respect, shared experiences, and the joy of learning together. It's not just about visiting a place; it's about becoming a part of it.

We don't simply pass through the local culture—we immerse ourselves in it, contributing our time, energy, and care as we integrate into the fabric of the community.

This isn't charity. It's about creating real connections and giving back in meaningful ways. As worldschoolers, we see ourselves as both learners and contributors.

We give our time, share our experiences, and work alongside the local community, learning from them while also offering our support. Together, we build bridges—between cultures, between families, and between worlds.

Our community reaches beyond the limits of location, fostering not just friendships, but a shared mission.

Whether you're connecting with a local family over a meal or joining forces with other worldschoolers to make a positive impact, this is a place where bonds are built, cultures are respected, and everyone contributes to something greater than themselves.

Culture

the heart of our journey

In the rich and vibrant backdrop of Antigua, Guatemala, culture isn't just something you observe — it's something you live. Our worldschool camp immerses your family in the traditions, stories, and daily lives of the local community. From learning to make tortillas by hand, exploring the artistry of weaving, to discovering the deep roots of coffee cultivation, every day offers a new opportunity to engage with the essence of Guatemalan life.

We believe that true education comes from understanding and respecting the cultures we encounter. By learning from local artisans, farmers, and elders, your family will gain a deeper appreciation for the world, building connections that transcend borders and foster a more global mindset. Here, culture isn't just a subject — it's the foundation of who we are and what we learn together.

Being part of a culture is so much more than simply learning about it — it's about living it. At Antigua World School Camp, we believe that true understanding comes from immersion, not observation.

When you interact with the local people every day, you start to feel the rhythms of their lives, their traditions, and their values. It's an experience far beyond reading about it in a textbook or ticking off the next scheduled cultural activity.

You begin to see the profound similarities that connect us all.

Here, you and your family will have the time and space to truly explore. Whether you're learning the art of the belt strap loom from Raquel or participating in a daily task such as picking coffee beans, these experiences are woven into the fabric of your journey. They are not staged or rushed—they are moments to be fully embraced.

And what makes this cultural immersion even more meaningful is Raquel and Oscar live here on-site, sharing their lives and culture with our families. Their presence brings authenticity to every interaction, allowing you to experience the real Antigua, its people, and its stories firsthand.

With our guidance, you'll go beyond just seeing the culture — you'll become part of it.
